iMedicals S.r.l. project team has a strong
multidiscliplinary and inter-institutional connotation, involving personnel
afferent to National Research Council (CNR, Department of Biomedical Sciences,
public research organization - Coordinator and Supervisor of national and
international clinical trials), University of Salento (Department of
Engineering for Innovation, public research organization), Apulia Region
(Development and Innovation Politics Area), several public and private
Hospitals interested in clinical validation studies, public and private
Companies, Voluntary associations and No-profit organizations, Multinational
biomedical industries involved in technology development, Spin-offs of the
National Research Council working on research, development and design of
medical equipment, national and international scientific societies,
Pharmaceutical Companies interested in early diagnosis and treatment in the
diagnosis and therapy of soft tissue tumors (breast, liver and prostate).
Presently, the following personnel units are
effectively involved in research studies for both clinical and technological
development:
• 20 medical doctors (gynecologists, breast
unit, urologists, internal medicine), at national and international level;
• 14 research engineers specialized in the
development of new biomedical technologies;
• 3 biologists specialized in design and
coordination of multicenter studies and clinical trials.
